Invest in Gloucestershire unveils new promotional campaign to promote county as a prime location for sustainable investment and net zero growth

28 August 2025

Invest in Gloucestershire, the county’s inward investment programme led by Gloucestershire County Council has launched a new campaign to promote the county

Invest in Gloucestershire has launched a refreshed digital presence to promote the region to UK and foreign owned companies as a prime location for sustainable business growth, innovation, and investment.

The newly enhanced website and updated Soft-Landing brochure are designed to attract both domestic and international investors, with a particular focus on supporting UK and foreign-owned businesses already operating in the county who are looking to expand. These tools also highlight the region’s commitment to net zero growth, skills development, and creating opportunities for young people.

The website now features dedicated case studies showcasing the success of pioneering companies such as ZeroAvia, Moog, and Darkscope, all of whom are thriving in Gloucestershire and contributing to its reputation as a hub for clean technology, advanced engineering, and cyber innovation.

A new ‘Opportunity Gloucestershire’ section hosts the digital version of the Soft-Landing brochure, a visually rich, magazine-style guide for businesses looking to establish or grow in the region. It highlights Gloucestershire’s strengths in low-carbon infrastructure, green energy assets, and its collaborative business ecosystem.

Invest in Gloucestershire is also working closely with local FE colleges and universities to ensure a strong pipeline of talent is available to support business growth. This includes initiatives to connect employers with skilled graduates and create meaningful career pathways for young people across the county.

As part of the digital refresh, the team partnered with local creative agency Bexmedia to produce a reflective video capturing the making of the Welcome to Gloucestershire film — a celebration of the region’s landscape, talent, and ambition.

“We’re excited to share these new assets with our partners, businesses, and global network,” said Julian Tooke, Cabinet Member for Business, Economic Development, Planning and Infrastructure at Gloucestershire County Council.

“They reflect Gloucestershire’s rich talent pool, affordable and flexible business premises and range of sector-focussed business networks and local professional services companies that help newly- arriving companies to quickly establish themselves. This also then provides job opportunities for local residents and supply chain opportunities for existing local businesses.”

While Invest in Gloucestershire's primary focus is on attracting new investors to the county, its support doesn't end once businesses arrive, with The Growth Hub network providing world-class support to businesses once they're here.

A huge thank you to local digital and media masters Bexmedia, Mighty Agency, and Squashed Robot for their creative collaboration. As homegrown talent, we were proud to support them as much as they supported us throughout this great project.
