Droneqube Explores Opportunities in Gloucestershire’s Agri-Tech and Viticulture Sectors
We were pleased to host the team from Droneqube for a full day of engagement across Gloucestershire’s agri-tech ecosystem, showcasing the region’s strengths and exploring opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Droneqube is an innovative technology company specialising in autonomous drone systems and AI-powered analytics for vineyard management. Their platform enables precise, real-time monitoring and targeted fertiliser application, supporting healthier vines and more sustainable grape production.
The visit began at the Royal Agricultural University’s (RAU) Cotswold Hills vineyard, where Droneqube demonstrated their technology in a live environment. The drone’s ability to survey vine health with speed and accuracy highlighted its potential to transform vineyard operations across the UK and Europe.
Following the demonstration, the team participated at the RAU Farm 491’s Drone Fest, a networking event focused on the role of drone technology in sustainable agriculture and environmental protection. Presentations from Dr Patricia Mathabe and Emmanuel Junior Zuzu provided valuable insights into the broader applications of drone innovation in conservation and land management.
The day concluded with a visit to Hartpury University’s Digital Innovation Farm, where Droneqube toured the facilities and engaged in productive discussions around the support and services available to agri-tech businesses in the region.
We were delighted to be joined by Murat Merdin and Oguz Merdin from Droneqube and their UK support team, Jeremy Johnson from GreenBest Ltd, and Steve Frost from SAS Land Services Ltd, who piloted the drone during the vineyard demonstration. Our sincere thanks also go to Kay Ford, Simon King, and Neave Anderson for their support in coordinating and hosting the visit.
With the UK’s wine industry continuing to expand, Droneqube is well-positioned to contribute to its growth through scalable, sustainable technology solutions. We look forward to seeing how their journey develops.
